Our History
Nestled beneath oak and pine trees in a peaceful mountain valley, Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort has welcomed travelers since the 1930s. What began as a rustic mountain camp has grown into a unique retreat offering cozy cabins, hostel lodging, tent cabins, and private homes surrounded by nature. Just 27 miles from Yosemite Valley, the resort brings together outdoor adventurers, families, and couples seeking relaxation, connection, and unforgettable experiences in the Sierra foothills.

1. If taking Amtrak, book to Yosemite then ask the bus driver to drop you off on the main road in front of the property.
2. If taking the YARTS bus system, get off at the Yosemite Lodge bus area then catch Yosemite Valley Shuttle to our location.
3. If driving, make sure you have the exact address listed above, then park the car in our designated parking spaces.
This was one of the most comfortable and memorable stays I have ever had. The lodging was fantastic, and the social energy from other adventurers was just unbeatable.
